1.0 Introduction: The key message will be on Global Marine Issues, and the integral role of all humans in maintaining environmentally sustainable marine systems. Examples will be taken from the British Columbia marine environment forming the core of the marine exhibit. The principles established however will apply on a global basis. The over arching concept will be marine environmental sustainability. We have an opportunity in the New Marine Centre to give visitors some substance to what environmental sustainability in the Ocean is really about, and further to leave them with the commitment to participate in the process. Right up front we are determined to have no mere "eco- tourists "to the exhibits, but rather people of all ages who can take away with them, the tools to actively participate in making our marine environment sustainable.
