If one compares the numbered areas above, the changes occurring over two years can be seen especially in sectors 3 and 4 where sea walls have been added. Both these sea walls have been installed below the high water mark, the traditionallly accepted definition of the edge of a landowner's property.
This site has been created to represent the contiguous ecosystems of the Race Rocks Ecological Reserve/Marine Protected Area and for the use of the Green Blue Spaces sub committee of the Metchosin Environmental Advisory Select Committee ( MEASC).
